Our popular children’s birthday parties take place on a Saturday afternoon from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, coach dependent and also on a Sunday afternoon, between 2.30-4.30 pm. They are very popular and do get booked up very quickly, so we ask for as much notice as possible to avoid disappointment. Continue reading

Our qualified coaches Lauren Cordingley and Helen David run these classes during term time only on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Please email Ssgfirstname.lastname@example.org for any enquiries.
11.00 – 11.45am
There is no waiting list for these classes as they run on a “pay as you go basis” at a cost of £4 (Cash Only Please) each visit.
After attending twice, you will be asked to pay the £13 compulsory BG Bronze Kindergym Annual Membership/Insurance fee.
We encourage all children to enjoy the sport in a disciplined but friendly environment.
All guardians/parents are responsible for their children and are required to join in during the sessions, making it a nice social event.
After two visits, guardians/parents are asked to complete the gyms waiting list form, so when the child is old enough (5/6 years old) a space should be available for them.
There are 3 badges/certificates to achieve before graduating in the July before they start reception class at school.
Red Badge One is for four tasks from each category, Action, Balance, Coordination.
Blue Badge Two is for seven tasks from each Category.
Green Badge Three is for ten tasks from each category.
End of Year Graduation
The standard procedure in gymnastics is to teach progressive skills. Each child will only move onto the next stage of any skill when the coach is satisfied that they have the ability to do so. Continue reading

We are proud of our club. We get no help with running costs, we have never received lottery funding and we rely on volunteers. Most of our coaches are volunteers who give up their free time to train your children and run the club.
Over the years we have accumulated equipment worth over £70,000. It costs over £60,000 a year to run the club, which mainly comes from fees charged, fund raising, and generous donations from organisations such as Nationwide Building Society, Evening Advertiser, W H Smiths and others. We try to keep fees down to a minimum, but without volunteer help fees will go up!
We try and take a new intake each term for each relevant age group filter class, but it depends on how many children move groups or leave us, as to the amount of new starters we can welcome in.
If you would like to add your child to our records, please can you copy out and email the following information to SwindonSchoolofGymnastics@hotmail.com .
Home telephone number:
Parent/Guardian mobile number:
Parent/Guardian email address:
Child’s date of birth:
SSG or other preschool gymnastics attended?:
Gym experience? If yes give details:
Your child’s information will then be added onto our waiting list and as soon as a space becomes available for your child, you will be notified by email. There will be a deadline date for you to accept the place.
The waiting list is prioritized on the date of application and is sorted in date of birth order.
On joining, new children generally begin in starter group, but the allocations may vary depending on the age of your gymnast and their experience. In due course your child may be asked to transfer to a new group.
